Started the construction of Bohe New Harbor of Maoming Port

Maoming Port Overall Planning was permitted by the provincial people’s government and approved by the provincial communication department for normal implementation.

China National Coastal Ports Arrangement Planning was discussed and approved by the state council, and formulated by Ministry of Transport. According to the planning, Maoming Port is defined into the port group of the Pearl River Delta Region as an important port to serve the energy transport in some places of South China and West China, a major channel of the oil transportation system of national transportation layout, and a large, deep and professional import oil receipt, transit and storage system.

With reference to a petrochemical project in Bohe New Harbor of Maoming Port, SINOCHEM Group and Maoming Bohe New Harbor Construction Management Office executed a framework agreement. According to the agreement, SINOCHEM Group plans to construct a 1,000,000 m3 oil and liquid chemical tank area, and 2 supporting wharf berths, respectively 300,000 ton-class berth and 800,000 ton-class berth.

China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. and Maoming Municipal Government signed a comprehensive port and city development and cooperation framework agreement in Maoming Binhai New Area. For the first period under cooperation, the major engineering is Maoming Port Wharf Project, including one 500,000 to 800,000 ton-class liquid chemical wharf berth, one 35,000 ton-class general wharf berth, one 200,000 ton-class liquid chemical wharf & one 200,000 ton-class liquid chemical wharf berth, and sea bank and navigation channel.

Maoming Municipal Government and the leading enterprise in port area in the south China region(Guangzhou Port Group Co.,Ltd.) decided to cooperate with each other, and executed a Strategic Cooperation Frame Agreement. Both parties will establish a stable long-term strategic partnership, and conduct multi-dimensional in-depth cooperation centering on 300,000 ton-class large wharf project.

The comprehensive coal-electricity project of Guangdong Yudean Group was started up in Maoming, Guangdong, with a total investment up to RMB 1.3 billion Yuan. The project includes the construction of two 1,000,000kw super-critical coal-fired general units, one 100,000 ton-class coal unloading wharf, one 35,000 ton-class coal loading wharf, and related site facilities for vessel unloading, coal transport, coal distribution, and coal storage, etc. Initial investment of the project is RMB 8 billion Yuan, including about RMB 2.627 billion Yuan for the estimated total investment of coal wharf project. The design total throughput of the wharf is 16,000,000t/year, but there is a reserved safety coal storage capacity 1,200,000t/year.

Guangzhou Port Group and Maoming Municipal Government reached a cooperation agreement, for purposes of developing Maoming Port together. According to the agreement, Guangzhou Port Group would invest into and hold controlling interests in the projects of Bohe New Harbor of Maoming Port, for example, the 70,000 ton-class general wharf project, the 100,000 ton-class coal wharf and 250,000 ton-class ore wharf project, and the 300,000 ton-class crude oil wharf.

Transport Planning and Research Institute, Ministry of Transport, convened and presided over the expert evaluation and review meeting for Maoming Port Jida Harbor Coastal Dynamic Geomorphology and Beach Stability Analysis, Research On Maoming Port Jida Harbor Wave Teaching Model, and Research on the Mathematical Model Wave, Tide and Silt of Jida Harbor of Maoming Port, and these three research findings were successfully accepted.

The Provincial Transportation Department convened an expert evaluation and review meeting for Maoming Port Bohe New Harbor Planning Adjustment Report. According to Xu Guang, chief engineering of the department and the team leader of the expert group, the preparation units of the planning adjustment have done a lot of work in preliminary investigations, tests and researches on the basis of the past efforts and results, so the planning adjustment is relatively complete and detailed; nce supplemented, modified and perfected as necessary, the oplanning adjustment can be an be used as the approval basis for planning adjustment of Maoming Port Bohe New Harbor.

Hu Jun, chairman of Maoming Port Co.,ltd. , convened and presided over a general meeting of all staff and employees of the company in the meeting room on the second floor of the Haibin New Area administrative committee in Maoming. At the meeting, departmental progresses at previous stage were reported, responsibility and labor division of the company’s leadership clarified, progress of major projects of the group company establishment and the company published, and the subsequent work arranged.

Maoming Port Co.,Ltd. convened and presided over the expert evaluation and review meeting on Feasibility Study Report of Maoming Port Shuidong Harbor Logistics Center Land Formation Engineering, and Feasibility Study Report of Maoming Port Shuidong Harbor Oil-gas Chemical Product Storage Area Land Formation Engineering in the meeting room on the fifth floor of Xilong International Hotel Maoming. The two reports were designed and prepared by CCCC First Harbour Consultants Co.,Ltd. Through evaluation of experts, they were accepted.

In collaboration with Ren Zhong Ren Enterprise Management Consulting Co.,Ltd. Maoming Port Co.,Ltd. organized all the staff to participated in outdoor development training camp at Huad Furong Holiday Resort in Guangzhou, with the thought to develop enterprise culture.
