For over thirty years after the implementation of the reform and open up policy, Chinese ports have seen an unprecedented high-speed development and created a lot of miracles, attracting the attention of the whole world. Even so, there is still great development space. Currently, Maoming Port sets sail and moves bravely by starting out from South China and serving the whole world, in order to build a first-class international energy port.

In 1919, Sun Yat-sen, a great man with foresight, defined Maoming Port as one of the nine commercial ports along with the coast of China in his wonderful masterpiece The International Development of China, by describing Maoming Port as “able to accommodate giant vessels”. The deep port in South China described by the great man is a dream that we have been struggling for and I believe we would make it soon.

In 2012, Maoming Binhai New Area in Guangdong was established, bringing about golden development opportunities for Maoming Port. With Maoming City’s implementation of the strategy “to develop the city by port”, Maoming Port undertakes this glorious task of revitalizing Maoming City. Maoming Port Group Co.,Ltd., a main body established by the city through resources integration for the development and construction of Maoming Port, aims to further develop Maoming Port and promote the development of Binhai New District. Under the leadership of the new team, Maoming Port Group strides forward, while the three harbors (Bohe, Shuidong and Jida), situated along with the over 60km port coastline and near the South China Sea, moves forward side by side; a great port in South China rises here.

In this new period, there are not only opportunities, but also challenges from fierce competitions with ports in the neighborhood. No matter how situations are, Maoming Port is stubborn in self-improvement and would accomplish our divine missions, we believe. In the cut-throat competitions, people of Maoming Port would always adhere to the operation principles “Cooperation, Win-Win, Development and Profit-Sharing”, and the enterprise vision “To Develop Port and Logistics and Benefit Employees and the Society”, and to develop and struggle stubbornly and persistently to build Maoming Port into a first-class international energy port.
